Calling for the continuation of essential trade

Covid-19 is having a devastating impact across the world and is the biggest threat to hit the UK in decades. Faced with challenges we could never have predicted, the UK Flavour Association has joined together with other UK food and drink trade associations to publish a letter calling for action from all Governments to ensure the continuation of critical imports and exports of food and drink.

With unprecedented demand on the UK food and drink supply chain, it is vital that we keep imports and exports flowing, allowing the continuation of essential movements of ingredients and raw materials to make sure that consumers across the country continue to receive supplies. The support of Governments to allow that to happen without restriction is crucial.

The full letter is available to read on the Food and Drink Federation’s website. It has also been sent to The Telegraph newspaper and will be circulated to UK Flavour Association members. By joining forces, we hope that together we can guarantee the safety of our industries and come out of this crisis stronger than ever.

The Association is here to support all our members during this very difficult time, and we hope that you all stay safe and healthy.
