How to Join the UK Flavour Association

Complete the application form and send to the Secretary, Julie Young.

The application is then shared with the Executive Committee for formal approval. If you have any questions regarding your application, then please do contact us.

When you sign the application form, it will ask you to confirm that you comply with the statutes/constitutions of both the UK Flavour Association, EFFA and IOFI.
There are four categories of Membership:
A
Full Membership
Any person, firm or body corporate established in the UK who sells and or manufactures flavourings, flavourings substances or essential oils either in the UK or overseas and who sells the said flavourings to another person, firm or body corporate may be eligible for full Membership.
B
Associate Membership
Any person, firm or body corporate that are substantial manufacturers within the UK of flavourings for processing and use in their own products but not for re-sale may be admitted to Associate Membership.
C
Observer Membership
Companies providing supporting services to those fulfilling the criteria of 4 a) or b) and in clear need of regulatory information regarding flavourings may be admitted to Observer Membership.
D
Consultant Membership
Persons who offers consulting services to companies fulfilling the criteria of 4 a), b) or c) may be admitted to consultant Membership. Membership should not be seen as an endorsement of their services.
Need to know
- There is also a Code of Ethics and Standards for the UK Flavour Association as part of the application form which we ask all Members to sign.
- Details of how the Membership subscription is calculated can be found in the accompanying document to the application form. For Full Members, it is based on turnover.
- The Membership year is January – December.
- Should you wish to resign, or the company is subject to an acquisition or merger, notice of resignation should be given to the Secretary by 31st October for the resignation to take effect by the end of the year.
- Please note that, in line with IOFI, the UK Flavour Association does not represent the e-liquid industry for e-cigarettes or vapes. Please view our statement regarding the use of flavourings in e-cigarettes.
